Nearly Six Million Russians Voted Electronically in State Duma Elections
Almost six million citizens cast their votes electronically in the Russian State Duma elections, according to data from remote electronic voting portals and the public election observation headquarters in Moscow.
The total number of ballots issued for both the federal district and single-mandate constituencies reached 3,331,658 by 02:00 Moscow time, with an 82% voter turnout reported on the Digital Electronic Voting (DEG) portal.
In Moscow alone, 2.8 million people voted, with 2.5 million of them opting for electronic participation, as stated on the Moscow election observation headquarters website.
Remote electronic voting is being conducted in a record 32 regions across Russia, alongside the Moscow platform, for the 2026 Unified Voting Day.
Elections for the ninth convocation of the State Duma, along with other concurrent elections, began on September 18th and will conclude on September 20th. A total of 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elected positions are to be filled on the 2026 Unified Voting Day.
